Will my child learn how to play songs?
Yes. The focus of the course is to teach the child the fundamentals of guitar (how to read tablature, primary chords and rhythms, important strumming patterns, chord progressions, song-structure, etc.) so he or she can learn any song in any style. We do not, however, teach individual “popular” songs. Instead, your child will develop the skills to play songs by his or her favorite bands.
Is this course only for rock guitar?
No. The course provides a complete overview to various styles including rock, pop, jazz, blues, ballads, country, and more!
What is the recommended age for the course?

We strongly recommend frequency over quantity. For example, it’s much better to practice 30 minutes a day, four days a week vs. two hours, one day a week.

When should my child practice?
Try to find a time when your child is not worn-out from school or other activities. This could mean 30 minutes of practice before or after dinner time. Or, saturday and sunday afternoon. But most importantly, try to pick a specific time on specific days to encourage your child to practice then.

It’s very important to have a special place for your child to practice. And everything needs to be in one place, easily accessible. For example, dedicate a corner of the bedroom to guitar. Have the guitar, a music stand, all the gear like a music stand (to hold instructional books), cables, picks, extra strings, etc. in one place.
